Magical New Years Eve Styled Elopement

There is something so magical about golden hour at Sunset Beach, in Coos Bay, Oregon. It's truly one of my favorite places on all of the Oregon Coastline, so I absolutely jumped at the opportunity to work with Natalie from The Tipsy Willow when she pitched the idea to do a New Years Eve Styled Elopement.

Champagne Elopement on the Beach

Featuring Kayla and Ben

With this styled elopement, I really wanted to showcase how a small elopement can have a big impact when you collaborate with creative vendors who know when to pull out the show stopping details that really take a styled shoot to the next level. Working with Cassidy, Natalie, and Chris was such an absolute pleasure.

A Glass of Champagne to Start

To start our elopement we had a small sip of champagne for Kayla, and a finger of Japanese whiskey for Ben. Natalie was inspired to offer a gentleman's drink that would pair well with the champagne for this New Year's Eve elopement. She is a big fan of the champagne toast, and believes it is a vital part for every wedding, no matter the size, "The champagne toast brings a level of intimacy and gathering to your event that is undeniably unforgettable. It allows the guests at your event to come together in harmonious love for you, in celebration of your union."

Vows on the Beach

After a quick drink, we took our couple down to the beach where they exchanged their vows under a handmade driftwood arch. Kayla and Ben had to postpone their wedding due to Covid-19, and so these touching moments between them really conveyed their deep, and true emotions. Kayla was brought nearly to tears several times, as she expressed how special this moment was to her, and how excited she was for their real vow exchange. You can truly see the love Ben has for Kayla, as he smiles, watching her walk towards him, with the backdrop of the beach adding to those romantic vibes.

Quiet Moments Together

After our ceremony, we took advantage of the remaining golden hour to have our couple walk the beach and reflect on their love for one another. The drama of the sheer gold dress, paired with Ben's modern suit really created a unique look that is perfect for a couple who wants to celebrate their love in a stylish way, while remaining timeless.

The bridal bouquet featured here is truly divine, filled with fresh roses and dried elements that were taken from the florist, Cassidy's, personal bridal bouquet.

Champagne Toast and Sparkler Exit

We finished the evening with a true champagne toast, including spray, and some fun sparklers to add to the romance.

Her mobile bar provided a unique backdrop that added interest and movement to our photoshoot.
